Richard Curless

Richard A. Curless is Chief Technical Officer for MAG Industrial Automation Systems LLC known as MAG Americas.MAG Americas includes major Manufacturing operations in the following locations:

Port Huron, Michigan
Fond du Lac, Wisconsin
Hebron, Kentucky
Machesney Park, Illinois
Chatsworth, California
             
Mr. Curless is responsible for all MAG Americas engineering research, technology and product developments, including technical support services and Platform management.  

He has over 40 years of experience in the machine tool industry.Previous positions held include Vice President Engineering for LeBlond Makino, Chief Engineer and Manager for Cincinnati Milacron, Vice President of Product and Business Development for Cincinnati Machine, Director, Global R&D for Cincinnati Lamb, a UNOVA company, and Vice President of Product and Technology Development for MAG Advanced Technologies.

He has an engineering Bachelor of Science degree from University of Cincinnati, a Masters of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Xavier University.

He currently serves on various boards/committees, including Board of Directors for TechSolve, National Center for Manufacturing Sciences, Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Center, and formerly served as Chairman for the Board of Assessment of NIST Manufacturing Engineering Laboratory.  

He has seven patents issued in his name on behalf of MAG IAS.
