The AMRC is launching a new regional network to bring together everyone interested in manufacturing.

Our events will feature topics of general interest to manufacturers and their supporters, with one third of each event dedicated to informal networking.

The AMRC Regional Network will be of particular interest to manufacturers, business advisors, manufacturing consultants and education.

Future talent: focus on apprenticeships with speakers from Boeing Sheffield and the AMRC Training Centre.

Our first event focuses on future talent and how businesses can tackle the skills shortage.

Boeing Sheffield has taken an innovative approach to apprenticeships and a large proportion of its staff have trained through that route, resulting in a young, dynamic workforce. We’ll hear directly from Boeing how they have approached setting up operations and how this process has developed.

Following that, there will be a presentation from the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, where high-quality, innovative apprenticeship programmes are built out of state-of-the-art equipment and the world-leading research facilities of both the AMRC and the university.
