Opportunities for manufacturing in the UK space sector

26 April 2022 - 26 April 2022

The space sector is a vital part of the UK’s economy, worth more than £16.4 billion per year and employing more than 45,000 – but most people don’t know much about it.

Space plays a critical role in our daily lives. Satellites orbiting the Earth only 160 kilometres above our heads keep us connected with our friends, families and colleagues. They support our present and future security and prosperity, enabling us to navigate the oceans, keep people safe, monitor the climate and forecast the weather.

Space presents significant opportunities; the global space economy is projected to grow from an estimated £270 billion in 2019 to £490 billion by 2030.

Join us on April 26, 2022 to hear a range of views directly from key players in the space sector including Thales Alenia Space, Satellite Applications Catapult and Reliance Precision.
