Title: AI for Advanced Manufacturing - A strategy for UK adoption and example use cases.

Dr Jon Stammers, senior theme lead for data, connectivity and AI at the University of Sheffield AMRC and Professor Chris Dungey, AI champion for advanced manufacturing at the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and chief technology officer at the High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult will have a presentation on AI for advanced manufacturing - A strategy for UK adoption and example use cases.

In this talk, Professor Chris Dungey will outline his new role in the UK government as AI champion for advanced manufacturing, where a core element of the role is to boost competitiveness in UK manufacturing through advancing engagement with AI technologies. Central to this is the vision for HVM Catapult to be a neutral and trusted home for Industrial AI in the UK. Dr Jon Stammers will then cover some of the existing and ongoing work being undertaken across the HVM Catapult group to support this strategy.
