North West additive manufacturing (AM) forum

06 May 2026 - 06 May 2026

Join us at PrintCity, Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) on May 6 for the North West AM Forum’s first event of the year.

The North West Additive Manufacturing Forum is a regional cluster founded by the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) North West and its partners, with the aim of connecting manufacturers, engineering firms, technology developers, researchers and users of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies.

Following two successful and well-attended events at the AMRC last year, this will be the first of our quarterly events in 2026, giving attendees the opportunity to:

  • Network and connect with fellow members and stakeholders.
  • Receive an update and forward look from the AM Forum team, as we share our 12-month plan for the Forum and the progress made since the last event, including: A summary of current national and regional AM strategies, work done to develop an AM training index and an overview of upcoming AM funding calls.
  • Hear from Made Smarter on their funded AM adoption programme for SMEs and its impact in the North West so far.
  • Hear from PrintCity at MMU on how they engage with industry and businesses, as well as how they support education and research in Additive Manufacturing.

Having reviewed the feedback from previous events, we will make sure that there are numerous opportunities for networking and building new connections throughout the day. The event will include teas, coffees and pastries upon arrival, with lunch also provided at the end of the session.

Be part of the community shaping the future of manufacturing and register now.

A reminder that this is an event for North West based organisations with an interest or involvement in the additive manufacturing sector. Whilst this is not a definitive eligibility criterion, please be aware that we may contact you for further information to ensure the event will be relevant and beneficial for you to attend. We also recommend that attendees register as a member of the forum prior to the event, which you can do here.

Completing this registration is just an expression of interest at this point, we will review your registration, and we will then confirm your attendance.
