Generous AMRC staff help to 'Make it Better' for Sheffield children

A team of colleagues from the AMRC with Boeing have raised an amazing £445 for The Children's Hospital Charity 'Make it Better' day.

The charity help Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust provide care over and above the standard NHS provision and their annual 'Make it Better' fundraising day, encourages anyone in the region to raise funds for the benefit of Sheffield Children's Hospital.

AMRC Support Services Co-ordinator, Anita Spafford and a team of her fellow colleagues found a tasty way to raise money, by selling freshly-prepared hot roast pork sandwiches with all the trimmings to hundreds of hungry AMRC staff.

The money will go towards the £40m redevelopment of the children's hospital, of which £20m will be raised by the charity alone. Funds raised by the charity also support medical research, new facilities and specialist medical equipment.
